Last week, we hosted ten enthusiastic startup teams for the 7th edition of the ACE Venture Lab Bootcamp. On Monday, the participants immediately dived into a full week of workshops and meetings with experienced mentors and startup experts. All teams pitched their final ideas on Friday in front of a professional jury.
During the course of the week, the teams went through all stages of business creation and development. There were lectures about teamwork and leadership, go-to-market strategies and product management. For a bit of practical exercise, the startups filled out business and revenue models and worked on their value proposition.
Most afternoons were reserved for personal mentoring. Bootcamp alumni and startup experts sat down with the teams to discuss their business proposals and offered them valuable advice about running their startup. One Bootcamp participant commented: “This process for developing Umance’s venture this far would have taken us 3 months. With the ACE Venture Lab Bootcamp, we did it in 4 days!”
On the last day, the startups had a final chance to perfect their pitches by practicing in front of the whole group. In the afternoon, it was the moment of truth: the final pitching competition. Each team presented a 10 minute pitch in front of a jury panel and the ACE Venture Lab community. UserSat got in first place with their tool to monitor user satisfaction of mobile apps – congrats guys! Feelty and Loqed came in as the two runners’ up.
We are very proud to present a new batch of startups and are curious to see what the future will bring for them! Our next Bootcamp will be held in February 2017 and we are happy to welcome any questions about joining our program! Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or sign up immediately right here.
