Internship Positions Available in Athens: Dutch Embassy and Orange Grove


A while back, ACE Venture Lab published an article about the startup ecosystem of Orange Grove in Athens, supported by the Dutch Embassy. This article discusses the risky but necessary paradigm shift towards entrepreneurship in Greece after the economic crisis, the peculiar, supportive role of the Dutch Embassy as incubator, and the value of the community Orange Grove offers. Interesting for our own community, is that there are internship positions available for students!


Every year, there are a number of internship positions available at the Policy and Management Department concerning Orange Grove at the Dutch Embassy in Athens, two during spring and two during fall. For more information about the embassy, check out, for more information about Orange Grove, check out The average internship would be for a period of three to six months, and they are looking for interns for the period of August 2017 until January 2018.


Candidates should possess the following knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge in the area of international relations
  • Knowledge in the area of innovation, startups, and incubators
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills of the English language, preferably also a good level of Greek
  • Preferably in the Master’s phase of university, not yet graduated
  • Needs to be of Dutch nationality, and study at a Dutch university
